    East Midlands Railway is an exciting place to be. As a new franchise, we are currently recruiting for experienced individuals who would like to take on the challenge of delivering some of the largest projects in the franchise’s history. Such projects include fleet cascade and replacement, rolling stock upgrade programmes, and depot plant and infrastructure modifications upgrades. In support of these changes, we have identified challenging and exciting opportunities to join us as Project Managers working in our Fleet Programmes team on a fixed term contract for 21 and 29 months.

    Reporting to the Head of Fleet Programmes the Project Managers will lead the creation and delivery of our key projects in line with good project management practices.

    The key responsibilities are:

    · Create positive project remits, budgets and business cases in support of business requirements

    · Deliver agreed projects in line with good project management practices, ensuring robust governance at all times

    · Deliver all projects to agreed time/cost/quality targets, managing project change throughout the project lifecycle

    · Ensure projects are managed in line with business processes

    · Ensure all projects are delivered safely, and do not compromise business operational, occupational or engineering safety management

    · Manage internal and external stakeholders, resources and contracts

    · Produce clear, complete Project Plans defining Scope, Schedule, Costs, Resources and Risk

    · Track and report Project progress, escalating issues and risks where appropriate

    · Ensure Project Delivery and produce Project Close Out Report

    We are looking for experienced Project Managers ideally with APM/PRINCE or a similar qualification and experience preferably in a rail fleet environment. You will have the ability to work independently and as part of a wider team, with excellent stakeholder management skills. You will have excellent communications skills and be computer literate including the ability to use MS Office and MS projects.
