    The Safety Engagement Coordinator will lead the engagement activities within the HSSE team including procedural changes and risk assessment updates. 

    Some of the key responsibilities for this role are:

    • Lead the engagement with business functions to ensure compliance with East Midlands Railways HSSE Policies and Procedures, together with applicable HSSE legislation and industry standards
    • Lead the engagement activities for the communication of Procedure and Risk Assessment changes, utilising EMR’s Intranet site and Safety Publications
    • Administration of the Document Control Process to support the controlled update and issue of the required changes to the SMS.
    • Manage the internal and external systems interface for HSSE Management System tools
    • Coordinate and Manage the HSSE Engagement Visit and the Level 3 & 4 Investigation processes including recommendation tracking
    • Act as the main point of contact for the management of CIRAS, ensuring all reports are processed and responded to in a timely manner
    • Provide Secretarial support to the Investigation DCP process, scheduling of meeting and issuing of supporting documentation
    • Maintain Close Call Reporting Database, ensuring feedback is provided
    • Provide Secretarial support to the Fire Risk Assessment process, supporting the Compliance and Standards Manager.
    • Ensure the Internal Safety E-mail addresses are monitored, and relevant information is distributed as necessary
    • Prepare and maintain process manuals for the relevant key activities that support business continuity and succession planning.
    • Deputise for the Safety Data Coordinator, continuing to deliver the business-critical activities, and represents EMR when required with external stakeholders

    As a Safety Engagement Coordinator you will be able to demonstrate:

    • An experienced administrator with excellent organisational skills
    • Excellent use of Word and Excel, the ability to utilise in order to create reports and tracking that communicate clearly data output and updates
    • Articulate communication skills
    • Must be a team player and able to work collaboratively with and through others
    • Acute business acumen and understanding of organizational issues and challenges
