    First Class Customer Host (On Train) - London

    We have a really exciting opportunity for passionate, customer focused people who thrive on the challenges that 'face to face' customer service can bring to join East Midlands Trains as a First Class Customer Host.

    The First Class Customer Host plays a vital role in our on-train team, making sure that customers enjoy the warmest of welcomes and receive an outstanding service. You will be the point of contact for our customers and their queries; you'll serve up scrumptious meals and snacks in first class from our fantastic menu and provide tasty refreshments to them on board. 

    From cooking and serving sausage sandwiches with a cup of coffee in the morning, to a curry, rice and glass of wine in the evening and anything in-between. You will also be responsible for selling items off our first class refreshment trolley which are not included in the first class offer such as cans of pop, beers and spirits. You will also ensure that the train carriages are kept super neat and tidy at all times.

    You will be hard working and always happy to provide an amazing service with a smile!  You will also be polite, responsible and very resilient.

    Your personality plays a massive part in the level of service you provide, we want to our customers to love and remember their experience on East Midlands Trains. So, if you are passionate, professional and want to make a difference to someone's day, we want to hear from you!

    Providing this level of service in all circumstances, on good days and days of disruption, on the first train of the day through to ones late at night. The role is shift work based on a rota to provide customer service throughout the whole day, including some weekend work. So you will need to be flexible in order to work the shifts.

    The successful candidate will undertake training in the classroom before going out with a mentor on train.

    There will be an assessment day for successful applicants. If you are successful at the assessment day you will either be offered a role for any immediate vacancies or be placed in a talent pool, for future Customer Host roles.  Candidates will stay in the Talent Pool for a maximum of 12 months and during that 12 months, you will not need to apply for this particular role again!  As and when we have Customer Host vacancies arise, we will be in a position to pick up the phone and make a job offer! - REMEMBER, you need to pass the assessment first!
