            <p id="isPasted"><strong>Business Continuity &amp; Disaster Recovery Manager</strong></p><p>At East Midlands Railway (EMR), we&rsquo;re proud to be <strong>One Team</strong>&mdash;working together to keep people safe, deliver great journeys, and do the right thing for our customers and communities.</p><p>With over 2,600 colleagues, it&rsquo;s our people who make the difference&mdash;and our IT team plays a vital role in keeping our railway running smoothly, safely, and sustainably.</p><p>We&rsquo;re now looking for a <strong>Business Continuity &amp; Disaster Recovery Manager</strong> to join our IT function in this exciting opportunity to shape and embed resilience across the organisation, ensuring EMR is prepared for whatever comes next.</p><p><strong>About the role</strong></p><p>You&rsquo;ll lead the development and delivery of EMR&rsquo;s Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery strategies, helping to safeguard critical services and minimise disruption.</p><p>Working across the business, you&rsquo;ll identify risks, assess impacts, and design practical, effective plans aligned to ISO 22301 and ISO 27031 standards.</p><p>This is a highly collaborative role where you&rsquo;ll influence stakeholders at all levels and play a key part in strengthening organisational resilience.</p><p><strong>What you&rsquo;ll be doing</strong></p><ul type="disc"><li>Develop and continuously improve EMR&rsquo;s Business Continuity Strategy in line with business needs and risk priorities&nbsp;</li><li>Lead the creation and maintenance of Business Continuity Plans across all departments&nbsp;</li><li>Develop and manage the Disaster Recovery Strategy, aligned to Business Impact Assessments&nbsp;</li><li>Partner with the Infosec &amp; Governance Senior Manager to support risk register reviews&nbsp;</li><li>Design and deliver testing exercises (from tabletop to full-scale simulations), identifying opportunities for improvement&nbsp;</li><li>Provide expert guidance and support to stakeholders across the organisation&nbsp;</li></ul><p><br><strong>What we&rsquo;re looking for</strong></p><ul type="disc"><li>Degree-level education or equivalent experience&nbsp;</li><li>Strong analytical skills with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively&nbsp;</li><li>Proven experience in Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery planning and delivery&nbsp;</li><li>Confidence designing, evaluating and managing formal processes and procedures&nbsp;</li><li>Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage a wide range of stakeholders&nbsp;</li><li>A track record of building effective working relationships across teams&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong><br>&nbsp;It would be a bonus if you have:</strong></p><ul type="disc"><li>Familiarity with cyber security principles&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>What you&rsquo;ll get in return</strong></p><p>We offer a competitive salary and a range of great benefits, including:</p><ul type="disc"><li>Defined benefit pension scheme&nbsp;</li><li>Free standard leisure travel on the EMR network and selected partner operators&nbsp;</li><li>Discounted travel for friends and family&nbsp;</li><li>75% discount on national rail leisure travel (including partner and dependants)&nbsp;</li><li>And much more&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>Our commitment to inclusion</strong></p><p>We&rsquo;re proud to be recognised as a Top Employer (eight times) and Gold accredited by Inclusive Employers.
