We&rsquo;re therefore taking positive steps to promote a positive and inclusive culture; we welcome applications from those that identify with these groups to better represent our communities.</p><p><strong>Main Duties and Responsibilities</strong></p><ul type="disc"><li>Establish and maintain partnerships with other functions and programmes to develop and deliver compliant and accurate rolling stock and train crew stabling and deployment specification proposals for new and cascaded fleets.</li><li>Manage the production / publication of all fleet test train timetable, stock, and resource plans, to the agreed specification which are compliant with industry and business process / timescales.</li><li>Manage the production / publication of all fleet cascade amended timetables, stock, and resource plans, to the agreed specification which are compliant with industry and business process / timescales.</li><li>Establish and maintain operational partnerships with equivalent supervisory roles in Network Rail System Operator to influence fleet cascade planning outcomes to meet the specification proposals.</li><li>Establish and maintain partnerships with Operational Planning teams and suppliers to identify, understand and develop system and process change project proposals to increase functional capabilities and efficiencies.</li><li>Manage user-acceptance-testing with suppliers for new and proposed system enhancement projects.</li><li>Manage and facilitate the system release processes with the supplier and internal change management and release management processes.</li><li>Manage and facilitate end-user training and briefing for system and process changes in the function.</li><li>Produce and maintain detailed project plans for operational planning projects which report milestone progress, risks, issues, and opportunities.</li><li>Line-manage a small team, managing workload effectively and supporting team development.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;<strong>Skills and experience needed</strong></p><ul type="disc"><li>Experience of an Operational and/or railway/transport environment.</li><li>Experienced management skills and the ability to motivate, direct, influence and engage with people at all levels.</li><li>Experience of successful project management and problem-solving complex challenges.</li><li>Knowledge of key team interfaces between departments in EMR and with Network Rail / other operators.</li><li>Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal and an ability to influence decision makers.</li><li>Ability to work on own initiative, self-motivated and able to set and achieve demanding targets and objectives.</li></ul><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong><strong>As well as a competitive salary, we&rsquo;ll also offer you:</strong></p><ul><li>An excellent defined benefit pension scheme</li><li>32 days&rsquo; holiday per year,&nbsp;</li><li>Flexible working hours</li><li>Free First Class duty travel on the EMR network</li><li>Free standard leisure travel on the EMR network and Train Operating Companies under Transport UK &amp; LNER</li><li>75% discount on national leisure travel (inc partner and dependants)</li><li>Friends and Family discounted tickets on the EMR network</li><li>Various training opportunities</li><li>Employee benefits portal with access to generous discounts, Cycle 2 Work Scheme &hellip;and many more!</li></ul><p>To apply complete the online application and upload your CV.
