From infrastructure and cloud environments to end-user services and operational resilience, our IT function is central to delivering reliable services for both our colleagues and customers.</p><p>We&rsquo;re looking for an experienced and forward-thinking <strong>Senior Manager &ndash; Technology, Infrastructure &amp; Operations</strong> to lead the evolution of our enterprise technology landscape. This is a high-impact leadership role where you&rsquo;ll drive infrastructure strategy, modernisation, operational excellence, and digital transformation across a complex, fast-paced organisation.</p><p><strong>The Opportunity</strong></p><p>As part of the IT &amp; Systems Leadership Team, you&rsquo;ll lead the teams responsible for infrastructure engineering, project delivery, and end-user operations. You&rsquo;ll oversee critical technologies across servers, networking, cloud environments, end-user computing and service delivery &mdash; ensuring EMR&rsquo;s technology estate remains secure, resilient, scalable and fit for the future.</p><p>This role combines strategic leadership with operational oversight, giving you the opportunity to shape long-term technology direction while ensuring day-to-day services perform at the highest level.</p><p><strong>What You&rsquo;ll Be Doing</strong></p><ul type="disc"><li>Developing and delivering EMR&rsquo;s technology and infrastructure roadmap aligned to business strategy</li><li>Leading infrastructure engineering, project delivery and end-user services teams</li><li>Driving modernisation initiatives across cloud, networking, compute and digital workplace technologies</li><li>Managing major infrastructure programmes and technical change delivery across a complex UK-wide environment</li><li>Manage the technology portfolio, ensuring architecture, data flows are understood and documented.</li><li>Ensuring robust service availability, backup, recovery and operational resilience</li><li>Acting as the senior technical escalation point for infrastructure and operational services</li><li>Managing major incidents and driving effective service restoration and stakeholder communication</li><li>Leading infrastructure governance, risk management and change approval processes</li><li>Managing supplier relationships, contracts, asset lifecycles and operational budgets</li><li>Supporting a culture of continuous improvement, innovation and high performance within the technology teams</li><li>Manage the infrastructure and end user operations BAU budget and infra delivery project budget, working with finance to create clear reporting and future forecasts for spend.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;<strong>What We&rsquo;re Looking For</strong></p><p>We&rsquo;re seeking a strategic technology leader with a strong infrastructure background and a passion for operational excellence.</p><p><strong>You&rsquo;ll ideally bring:</strong></p><ul type="disc"><li>Significant experience leading enterprise IT infrastructure and operations teams</li><li>Strong technical expertise across networking, servers, cloud technologies and end-user computing</li><li>Experience delivering large-scale digital transformation and infrastructure change programmes</li><li>Knowledge of IT governance, security and compliance frameworks including ISO27001, GDPR and ITIL</li><li>Proven experience managing suppliers, outsourced services and operational budgets</li><li>Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly at all levels</li><li>A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with the ability to balance strategic planning and operational delivery</li><li>Experience operating within complex, multi-site organisations</li><li>ITIL Foundation (or equivalent) certification</li><li>Proven delivery of complex technical change (2000+ employees) in UK wide digital transformation projects covering office relocations, WAN, LAN, Smart Mobile Devices, AD, Networks, Data, BI (analytics) software development</li></ul><p><strong><br>&nbsp;Why Join EMR?</strong></p><p>At EMR, we&rsquo;re investing in technology to transform the way we operate and support our people and customers.
