We&#39;re looking for an enthusiastic, customer-focused individual to take the lead in managing the daily operations at <strong>Lincoln Station</strong> &mdash; one of the region&rsquo;s busiest and most important transport hubs.</p><p>This is more than just a job. Watch the video below featuring Sebastian Chromiak, Fleet Planning Manager.</strong></p><p><span contenteditable="false" draggable="true" class="fr-video fr-deletable fr-rv fr-fvc fr-dvb fr-draggable"><iframe width="640" height="360" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/8Ij4fVsCqCo?&wmode=opaque&rel=0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen="" class="fr-draggable"></iframe></span><br></p><p><strong>Key responsibilities include:</strong></p><p><strong>Lead &amp; Strategise</strong></p><ul type="disc"><li>Drive the fleet planning function forward by working collaboratively with Fleet Control and Production to deliver a stable and reliable maintenance plan.</li><li>Own and deliver the &ldquo;Golden Plan&rdquo;, turning long-term fleet strategy into practical maintenance plans.</li><li>Represent Fleet in cross-functional forums, influencing key stakeholders to achieve results.</li></ul><p><strong>Deliver Operational Excellence</strong></p><ul type="disc"><li>Ensure trains are available, in the right place and condition, to meet operational demand.</li><li>Oversee maintenance, presentation, and overhaul scheduling to maximise fleet availability and reliability.</li><li>Lead contingency and recovery planning during service disruptions.</li><li>Be able to interpret and analyse data and manipulate the maintenance plan appropriately to support improved reliability by exploring flexible options for delivery.</li></ul><p><strong>Ensure Compliance &amp; Drive Improvement</strong></p><ul type="disc"><li>Ensure all planning activities meet contractual, regulatory, and company standards.</li><li>Lead audits, embed best practice, and implement corrective actions.</li><li>Maintain robust policies and procedures in line with the NRC.</li><li>Champion GDPR compliance and data integrity across the planning function.</li></ul><p><strong>Who we&rsquo;re looking for</strong></p><p>We are seeking an experienced and proactive Duty Fleet Planner who can lead our fleet planning function with confidence and impact.</p><ul type="disc"><li>Degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Management, or a related discipline.</li><li>Proven leadership experience in a complex, safety-critical, or operational planning environment.</li><li>Strong strategic and analytical skills, with the ability to turn data into actionable insights.</li><li>Experience influencing across multiple functions and external partners.</li><li>High level of IT literacy, including MS Office and planning systems (e.g., Integrale).</li><li>Strong commercial awareness and understanding of operational business drivers.</li><li>Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.</li></ul><p><span data-teams="true" id="isPasted">This role operates on a shift basis, including nights that extend beyond midnight, so flexibility and resilience are essential.</span></p><p>Desirable experience includes in-depth knowledge of the UK rail industry, fleet maintenance processes, and contractual frameworks, along with experience in performance management, KPI reporting, and continuous improvement. To support this vision, we are looking for an experienced and forward-thinking <strong>Head of Occupational Health and Wellbeing</strong> to lead our strategy and services.</p><p>As our Head of Occupational Health and Wellbeing, you will lead the development and delivery of a modern, evidence-based strategy that promotes, maintains and improves the health and wellbeing of our workforce. You will ensure our services meet regulatory requirements, clinical governance standards and industry best practice, while maximising workforce availability and resilience.</p><p>This is a pivotal leadership role with influence across the business, working closely with senior stakeholders, clinical specialists and third-party partners to shape a proactive, high-quality health and wellbeing offer.</p><p>This role is based at our brand-new Occupational Health and Wellbeing centre on Pride Park in Derby.</p><p><strong>Responsibilities of the role include:</strong></p><ul><li><strong>Lead and develop the Occupational Health &amp; Wellbeing department</strong>, working with clinical leads to deliver high-quality, timely services that meet regulatory, governance and clinical standards. Ensure effective performance management, appraisal and training across the team.</li><li><strong>Collaborate with Heads of Service Delivery, Safety and HR</strong> to enhance and adapt our wellbeing and occupational health services to support organisational priorities. This includes sickness absence, medically restricted workers, driver licensing and other safety-critical standards, regulatory needs, and responses to National Agendas. Oversee the planning, implementation and evaluation of related programmes and initiatives.</li><li><strong>Provide expert occupational health advice</strong> to the organisation, ensuring the business is fully informed of changes to statutory or advisory requirements that may impact compliance or operations. Work with internal colleagues and suppliers to maintain robust compliance.</li><li><strong>Maintain and elevate service quality</strong>, including developing and managing audit processes and quality monitoring systems to achieve and retain SEQOHS (or equivalent) accreditation.</li><li><strong>Manage departmental budgets</strong>, ensuring strong financial control, alignment with company processes and efficient use of resources. Balance high-quality service delivery with value for money.</li><li><strong>Oversee third-party occupational health providers</strong>, including medical officers, physiotherapy services, Drug &amp; Alcohol testing partners and Employee Assistance Programme suppliers.
